Manchester City are reportedly lining up a bid for out-of-contract Ronaldo.
El Fenómeno is currently a free agent in the market following the expiry of his contract with AC Milan at the end of last season.
The former Barcelona star has been linked with a return to PSV Eindhoven, as well as a move to Kashima Antlers and Los Angeles Galaxy, but he has so far had no success in his search for a new home.
According to Globoesportes, sources close to Ronaldo have stated that Manchester City have sounded out the 31-year-old player about a move to The Blues.
His agent, Fabiano Farah, denied earlier this week any Premier League link, however he has not commented on Thaksin Shinawatra's interest in the player as of yet.
Ronaldo, who is currently in the south of Spain recovering from a surgery on a knee injury, would become City's third Brazilian footballer, following in the footsteps of Jô and Elano.
