I think the world press' going to be going on and on about censorships and bad chinese habits and air pollution and what not and the chinese are going to get hopping mad cos they never understood what a free press is all about and that you don't pay anything attention to such things cos people don't really give a flying fark ...

the olympics has been a fiasco from a long time ago..
when the right hand man of a certain dictator called Franco was running the show, he put all his cronies in high places of the IOC.. resulting in massive corruption where the members of the IOC went to countries and basically extorted the hell out of the organisers...
worse, there has been massive match-fixing.. to get more revenue, they removed the "amateurs only" stipulation which embodied the games...
remember when Ben Johnson got done for drugs? it was botched.. he wasn't supposed to be done for drugs.. in fact, everyone in that lineup was juiced up.. Carl Lewis? he's crippled.. Flo-Jo? she's dead.. Marion Jones? she's disgraced...
if people watched the Korean games, the boxing matches told everything.. sit-in protests in the ring.. because the boxer was promised the win.. the most telling was the korean who was almost pummelled to death by the american and still won!
the olympics?

Streamie, I'll be glued to events like swimming, gymnastics and a few more. The Olympic training centre is right here in SD so I can't help but feel excited by association.
I have but one wish though - that the Americans would stop pronouncing Beijing as Bei-jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjing.

i printed the schedule liao and highlighted my fav events which include *drum roll* BADMINTON......my fav 'cos i played competitively as a "kid" kekekeke~~~~ the others are track n field, swimming and diving.
oh, the canadians train in s'pore 'cos of the polluted air in beijing. i tink they will only land in beijing nearer to the dates of their events. some athletes are still training in vancouver or victoria, specifically and it is just a hop to beijing. kekekeke~~~~
i wanna cheer for the sg contingent too but i have to check which event neh. i read sg sending 25 athletes nia. ko lian. :(
okay, friend, let the games begin..........i am glad i am working from home tomorrow so i can catch the opening.
